Calendar Dividers

Image
So I did a thing.  Can't believe I didn't think of this before.  I love dividers in my planner.  It just keeps everything so organized.   I also love having my months divided as well.  So I made dividers to place between my monthly spreads so I all I to do was find the tab and flip to the month.  But there was a problem - when I flipped the tab, I still had to flip the page to find my calendar.  Then I came up with a solution.  Put the tab on the calendar page!  I know, you are thinking, people already do that.  Yes, they add stickers.  I am talking about printing the actual tab on the actual calendar page.  Thankfully, I subscribe to a planner program that lets me do just this!  PlanifyPro is a great program that lets you easily design your own planner pages - and you can customize the size, layout, colors, add digital stickers- if you can dream it, you can make it on PlanifyPro!  If you are interested in sign...

Making your own planner inserts

Image
Today I am excited to share a passion of mine - making planner inserts.  All of the inserts that I make for my Etsy shop I have made on a wonderful program called PlanifyPro.  This is an online program where you can sign up for monthly, quarterly or yearly subscriptions.  If you are interested in signing up, click my link here :  https://planifypro.com/?via=kristen .   Since I have become a PlanifyPro affiliate, I am able to offer you three freebies. I am offering these in various sizes so that you can get a little sample of what PlanifyPro has to offer.  In this post I will share freebie number one and tell you a little about how you can customize it for yourself.   Freebie # 1:  Faith dashboard I chose a pretty floral background for this dashboard because I wanted to add a bit of color to my planner.  But on PlanifyPro one could customize this dashboard in literally hundreds of different ways.  The program allows the us...

Cleaning Tracker

Image
Happy March!  Today we are going to talk about everyone's favorite subject - CLEANING!  Most of us would groan at that word, but I actually have a friend who thrives on cleaning her house.  Let me just say right now - I don't.  Don't get me wrong, I love a clean house.  But I also have 5 children and 2 very large dogs.  So cleaning around here takes on a whole new meaning.  Can I get an Amen from all the busy momma's out there?!?! I decided with Spring just around the corner that it is high time to try to organize some cleaning around here.  So I made this nifty cleaning tracker - because everything is more fun if you can check it off, right?  If you are interested, you can check my Etsy shop to download your own copy of the cleaning tracker.  I also have a discount code at the end of this post. The insert is pretty self-explanatory, but let me point out some different aspects of it and explain how I plan to use it.  If you us...

Disc Bound Planners

Image
In my last post, I gave an introduction to ring bound planners, so I thought in this post I would give an introduction to disc bound planners. The most popular disc bound system is the Happy Planner system. Since Happy Planner came out, several companies have made their own version of this system. I really am not an expert on any of these systems and I cannot give any advice on how they compare to each other. Rather the purpose of this post is to introduce you to the ring bound system and give a few pros and cons. A disc bound system simply means a system in which the pages are held together using discs. Here is an example of three different sizes of Happy Planner Here we have the Big Happy Planner (8.5x11), the Classic Happy Planner (9.25x7) and the mini Happy Planner (7x4.63).  I did a quick Google search and found that Happy Planner actually has five sizes - I don't have an example of the other two sizes, but if you are curious, just Google "Happy Planner sizes" and pl...

Getting Started with Planning

Image
My non-planner friend asked me the other day, "Where do I start?  Your blog used some words I don't understand!"  So I thought this post should be about where to start with a planner.  The first thing you need to ask yourself is what is the purpose of your planner?  Is it to keep track of appointments, schedules, etc?  Is it to keep track of all your "to do's"?  Is it for journaling?  For memory keeping?  Once you answer these questions you can figure out the next step - what kind of planner should I buy?  There are way too many options out there for planners.  So many companies have come out with planners - you have spiral bound, book bound, ring bound, disks.....if I were talking to my friend I mentioned earlier, her eyes would start to glaze over about now!  So instead of talking, let me show you. First, in the matter of full disclosure, let me share that I do not own any current spiral or book bound planners.  I have...

Welcome!

Hello!  Welcome to Krafty Mom Plans!  My name is Kristen and I am a crafty Mama to five children who loves to plan!  I use my planners to keep me organized, as a creative outlet, and to journal my life.  I have several planners - some I use on a regular basis and some that sit on a shelf to be used "someday" because I love the color or the texture.  My favorite ring planner brands are Filofax and Kikki K (just my personal opinion πŸ˜‰).  My favorite sizes are A5 (5.8x8.3) and personal wide (6.75x4.75). Now, let me introduce you to my babies! Here are my basic ring bound planners.  Can you tell the color family I love?? Here is my Filofax collection.  From left to right I have an A5 Saffiano, A5 Clipbook, Personal Finsbury, Personal Malden, Pocket Saffiano, and Mini Malden.  In later posts I will show you how I use each oneπŸ˜ƒ Here is my Kikki K collection - if you can call it that πŸ˜‰.  I have a large Kikki K, which is A5 size and a p...
